Bon, Ebisu キッチン・ボン恵比寿

Bon, which is located in a basement about 5 minutes walk from the station, is one of Tokyo's most famous 'youshoku' restaurants. It's been a favourite over the years of talento and is run by a really old, cute couple. I'm not sure how much longer they'll be at it, but the unreconstructed classics from crab cream croquette to hayashi rice are all on offer.

The restaurant is in need of a good clean and it's not exactly cheap (almost 3,000 yen for a plate of hayashi rice), but I think you should go and try it just to get some taste of some of the best old-fashioned youshoku around.

This place is famous for its borscht. It's one of the few places that serve this. I went there just to try it. It was nice but I expected a little more value for price.
