The Michelin Guide has consistently awarded more stars to Tokyo dining establishments than any other city in the world. I created this blog as my personal Tokyo restaurant guide, but I hope you will also enjoy reading it. If you have been to any of the same places feel free to leave some comments about your own experiences.

Hinokizaka, Roppongi ひのきざか六本木

The Ritz conjures up an image of expense and luxury and while their Japanese restaurant, Hinokizaka, is not exactly cheap, it's also far from outrageous. In beautiful surroundings, served by ladies in kimono and with amazing views over Akasaka and beyond, Hinokizaka is somewhat of a find.

For around 5,000 yen at lunch you can order their bento box. There are more expensive options available but the quality and amount of food is superb. It's ideally pitched for a business lunch. The food and atmosphere is high-level but you will not leave feeling heavy - perfect if you have to entertain the same evening!
